If the lights on your keyboard or gamepad go out, you know you've disabled the wrong driver. Disable copies and play around until it works. Get rid of extra Microsoft drivers if you've got the real driver already installed. There was a Microsoft driver for the gamepad in there also, but that got zapped when I disabled it for some reason. The bottom one in my list that is disabled is the Microsoft driver for the saitek gamers keyboard. You can find out what those USB Human Interface Devices are operating by right clicking on them, then clicking on properties. My P2500 worked with both the Saitek Cyborg Force Ruble Pad, and the HID version enabled, the HID keyboard driver disabled, and the gamepad driver XP stuck in there disabled. The problem is that XP adds microsoft drivers for almost everything in the device manager even if you have the actual driver for your hardware. SOLUTION: Disable extra Gamepad and Keyboards in the Device Manager PROBLEM: Saitek Gamepad does not work in ZSNES
It will probably work with other OS's also, but that’s an untested assumption. I've been working on this problem for about 15 minutes now and I've found a solution for XP users.
